Almost a year ago, we gave up the beach and the sunshine of South Carolina, and made our way inland (waaaaaaaay inland) to a small community town in the Midwest. “Why?” you might ask (as many did…and we may have even asked ourselves more than a couple times during the process). Well, let me tell you something about this little town in Nebraska:
The people are like none other. You’ve likely heard of Midwestern Nice. It’s true. Oh, so true. The snow is beautiful. Sure, an inconvenience at times, but a foot of snow here is nowhere near the inconvenience of half an inch of snow in South Carolina.
Something else about our small town—hearts literally line the streets. In Valentine, Nebraska love is in the air. So much love that I’m going to let you in on a little secret. During the month of February, the local Post Office will stamp the mail you send your Valentine with custom Valentine, NE Valentine’s Day stamps (that’s a lot of ‘Valentines’). And then they will postmark the package from Valentine, NE. No, not just local mail…send them from anywhere in the world to anywhere in the world. Yes, you can literally send a Valentine from Valentine. Don’t you want your packages stamped now!? Well, it’s easy! Address your envelope or package to your Valentine and add adequate postage. Put it in a larger envelope/package (make sure you have postage on that as well) and send it to the Valentine Post Office at:
Valentine’s Day Postmark
239 North Hall Street
Valentine, NE 69201-9998
It’s seriously that simple. We designed postcards to stamp and send to our family and friends this year. Your can see samples of some of the many Valentine Valentine’s stamps on our postcards below.
