We left our home in South Carolina a few months ago, and we moved to a small little town in Nebraska. We were nervous about what this meant for our photography business. With all it’s charm, it’s no surprise that Charleston was named the top wedding destination in the US and South Carolina’s Midlands kept us beyond busy documenting families’ lives for years. We knew the small-town Midwest would be much different from the cities of the South, and that certainly would effect how we did business. What we didn’t realize was how family and community oriented our little town would be. What a breath of fresh air that is…and, oh, is that country air fresh!
We were approached a couple times with the idea of documenting a branding, and we weren’t exactly sure what to think about it. When we were told a little more about what all was involved in the branding process, we warmed up quickly to the idea; and with the Miles’ reputation far, far proceeding them, we knew which branding we wanted to be a part of.
After all, Nebraska is known for a few things: the Huskers, corn, Larry the Cable Guy, and beef.
Meanwhile, back on the ranch, we’re still in awe of these amazing people and how they use their God-given talents and tools of the trade to make a living for their families. Not to mention anything about juicy hamburgers and steak!
Brandings aren’t just another day on the ranch, they are an opportunity for neighbors to help neighbors.
